- Inspected and verified the concern, noted the compressor does not even engage. Inspected compressor drive belt, hoses and connections. Evacuated and vacuum tested system. – found the system low on refrigerant – system properly holds vacuum Added refrigerant and dye as needed to perform halogen leak test. – after adding refrigerant the compressor still does not engage Tested relay – good. Manually applied power to the compressor and still will not engage. Recommend replacing the compressor, flush the system and recharge.
- Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. – found the transmission fluid dirty – recommend a transmission flush – noticed the VTEC solenoid and the manifold gasket to be leaking – recommend replacing the seal and gasket Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – noted the right front axle boot is split – recommend replacing the axle assembly
