Services Performed
- Inspected compressor drive belt, hoses and connections. Tested the A/C line pressures and found the pressures way to high (400 psi high side and 48 psi low side). Static the pressures were at 200 psi high side and 210 psi low side. Evacuated and vacuum tested system. Found the refrigerant charge was at 1.7 lbs and should be at 1.9 lbs. Recharged the system and verified proper operation. The line pressures are now to specification and the fans are working accordingly. Also found where the A/C compressor had vented (possibly from previous overcharging). Will monitor compressor for signs of venting on the next service.
- RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND MESSAGE
- Road tested vehicle. Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the transmission fluid is very dark and dirty. Recommend a transmission service and flush be performed. Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery -good . Performed starter draw test – within specifications. Tested charging system output – 14.13v. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. –Found the spark plugs are at .053 and the specification is .049. Recommend spark plug replacement and fuel induction services. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front -5mm Right front -5mm Left rear -5mm Right rear -5mm Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. Inspected tire pressures and depth. Inspected steering and suspension components. Inspected exhaust system condition.
