    • Road tested vehicle. – noted the vehicle pulsates while braking Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). – found the rear differential pinion seal leaking – recommend replacing the seal Inspected all fluid levels and condition. – found the power steering and transmission fluids getting dirty – found the transfer case fluid dirty – recommend to service the transfer case Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery – passed. Performed starter draw test – within specifications. Tested charging system output – passed. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to – 34°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. – recommend replacing the spark plugs and fuel filter – recommend a fuel induction cleaning Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front – 2mm, rotor can not be resurfaced Right front – 2mm, rotor can not be resurfaced Left rear – 5mm, rotor slightly warped Right rear – 5mm, rotor slightly warped – recommend replacing the front brake pads and rotors Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – found the tires cracking between the tread and there is a nail in the left rear tire – recommend replacing the tires ASAP Inspected steering and suspension components. Inspected exhaust system condition.

    • Inspected compressor drive belt, hoses and connections. Evacuated and vacuum tested system. – found the system to have only 9 ounces in it on arrival – system holds vacuum for 30 minutes Added refrigerant and dye as needed to perform halogen leak test. – found refrigerant leak from the high side pressure line from the compressor to the condenser – recommend replacing the line, charge and retest
    • Changed engine oil and filter. Lubed chassis points (where applicable). – found oil leak at the oil pressure sensor – recommend replacing the sensor Inspected all fluid levels and conditions. – found the transmission and brake fluids dirty – recommend a transmission service and a brake system flush Topped off windshield washer fluid as needed. Tested operation of all external lights. – found both front marker lights to be out – recommend replacing the light bulbs Inspected belts and hoses. Inspected air filter. – found the engine air filter and the cabin air filter very dirty – recommend replacing both filters Inspected battery cables and hold down. – the battery fails load test – recommend replacing the battery Inspected tires for wear and proper inflation. – found the tires at 6/32" – found the right front tire has a cut on the sidewall – found the tires are 6 years old – recommend replacing all 4 tires Tested antifreeze protection – good to – 34°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades. – found the wipers are streaking – recommend replacing all 3 wiper blades
    • RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND MESSAGE
    • Inspected and found no tire rotation is needed at this time. Recommend replacing the tires.
    • Installed a new Interstate battery and cleaned the battery cable ends as needed.
    • Disassembled components as necessary. Removed the cabin air filter, cleaned housing and installed a new filter.
    • Installed a new air filter as needed.
    • Inspected all hydraulic components for leaks – none. Drew brake fluid from master cylinder. Flushed and bled entire brake hydraulic system until clean. Filled and bled brakes as needed. Road tested.
    • Removed all necessary components and the faulty oil pressure switch. Cleaned the area as possible and installed a new oil pressure switch. Reinstalled all components. Ran the vehicle, monitored the oil pressure and verified the repair. Road tested.
    • Drained and refilled the transmission fluid as needed, we did this 2 times and the fluid is still slightly discolored. We recommend to service the transmission fluid again in 15,000 miles.
    • Removed the necessary components and installed a new high pressure a/c line as needed. Reinstalled all components. Performed vacuum test of the system – passed. Fully charged the system and performed leak test – no further leaks found at this time. Vent tested and verified a/c operation.
    • Removed all necessary components and installed a new set of spark plugs as needed. Reinstalled all components and road tested.
    • Mounted and balanced tires as needed.

Inspected air filter. – found the air filter getting dirty – recommend replacing the filter next oil change Inspected battery cables and hold down. Inspected tires for wear and proper inflation. – tires are at 5/32" – noted the front stabilizer bar bushings worn – recommend replacing the bushings Tested antifreeze protection – good to – 35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades.

    • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Perform Lube Oil Filter – Technician Note: Oil on low mark on dip stick Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -60°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. –Inspect Exhaust System Technician Note: Muffler dented in. (OLD/ NOT NEW) Likely it's not effecting flow –Technician Note: Splash guard broke in multiple places Both rear diff output shaft seal leaking – Recommendation: REAR OUTPUT SHAFT SEALS
    • Performed inspection. Bushings, motor mounts, tires and wheels look good. Found both lower ball joints have excessive play (very loose) and the driver side inner tie rod end has excessive play. We have no way to tell for sure whether the ball joint and tie rod damage was caused by impact or wear. The vehicle would not have been able to be aligned as the suspension is at this time. Recommend replacing the lower control arms, inner tie rod ends, performing an alignment service and rechecking the system.
    • The technician removed all parts necessary to gain access to the front lower control arms. Removed the control arms. Attempted to separate the rear control arm bushings from the control arms and the bushings are just tearing. Installed new rear control arm bushings on the new lower control arm assemblies. Installed the new lower control arm assemblies and reassembled all necessary parts. Verified the repairs on the test drive.
    • The technician removed all parts necessary to gain access to the inner tie rod ends. Replaced both inner tie rod ends and reassembled all necessary parts. Verified the repairs on the test drive.
    • Performed wheel alignment and made necessary adjustments. Road tested.

    • Road tested and verified concern. Scan tested computer control system for stored trouble codes. – found no code stored Searched for any related service bulletins. Road tested and monitored shift data. – found torque converter slip, data reads negative and then jumps erratic compared to desired slip RPM – found desired data holds solid at 1020rpm while at idle This may possibly need a software update by the Dealer. We recommend calling Barrett Transmission (360)733-7136 or taking to a Ford dealer.
    • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. – found the oil level low on arrival, fluid is clean, topped off as needed Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. – noted the washers do not work – recommend to diagnose this concern Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to – 60°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – noted the right front axle boot starting to leak, recommend to monitor

    • Inspected and verified the concern. Inspected and found the battery cables slightly loose – tightened the cable ends as needed. Tested and found both batteries fail load test. Tested alternator output – good at 14.06v. Full charged the batteries and retested – still failed. Installed 2 new ACDelco batteries with high reserve capacity. Tested and found the truck now starts right up. Allowed the truck to sit overnight, tested and it started right up. No further recommendations at this time.

    • The technician bench tested the door lock actuator and found it is in working order. Tested for signal from the switch and signal is good. There is a short in the door wire harness. Replaced the door wire harness and verified the repair.
