- Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. – Timing belt history? Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 °F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth.
- Inspected and determined noise is from the right front wheel bearing. The left inner cv boot was torn wide open and grease was throw from the joint. Disassembled components as necessary to gain access to wheel bearing assembly. Removed hub assembly and installed new bearing assembly as necessary. Disassembled components as necessary to gain access to axle assembly. Removed failed axle cleaned area and installed replacement axle. Reassembled and road tested.
