- Road tested and verified the concern. Inspected the front steering and suspension components – found the left front lower ball joint to have excessive movement – this is a safety concern. Inspected the right side and found slight movement. Recommend replacing both lower control arms, perform alignment (if needed) and retest.
- Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. – found the engine air filter getting dirty – recommend replacing the filter next service Tested antifreeze protection – good to – 40°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth.
- Disassembled as needed and removed the faulty front lower control arms. Cleaned sockets and installed new control arms as needed. Reassembled all components. Tested and found no further noise present. Road tested.
