- Changed engine oil and filter. Lubed chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and conditions. Topped off windshield washer fluid as needed. Tested operation of all external lights. Inspected belts and hoses. Inspected air filter. Inspected battery cables and hold down. Inspected tires for wear and proper inflation. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -60°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades. –Miscellaneous Technician Note Technician Note: The blower is noisy, there may be debris in it. – Recommendation: Remove the blower motor for inspection.
- RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND MESSAGE
- The technician removed the intake manifold and performed inspection. Found the knock sensor wire harness has been chewed up. The technician cleaned the area, replaced the knock sensor and jump harness. Cleaned the mating surfaces on the intake plenum halves. Reinstalled the intake with new gaskets and seals. Cleared the codes and verified the repairs on the test drive.
