Road tested vehicle. Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the transmission fluid is dirty. –Recommend a transmission service. Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery – good. Performed starter draw test -10.77v- within specifications. Tested charging system output – 14.38v- good. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected operation of all external lights. –Found the right rear tail light assembly is full of water and the right license plate bulb is burnt out. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. –Found the spark plugs are worn out. –Recommend spark plug replacement and fuel induction system cleaning. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front -6mm Right front -6mm –Found pulsation from the front brakes. Recommend resurfacing the front rotors. Left rear -4mm Right rear -4mm Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. –Found the brake fluid is dirty. –Recommend a brake fluid flush. Inspected tire pressures and depth. Inspected steering and suspension components. –Found the front and rear stabilizer end links and bushings are worn. –Recommend replacing the front and rear stabilizer end links and bushings. Inspected exhaust system condition.

Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the vehicle is due for a lube oil filter service. –Found the brake fluid contains 3% or higher moisture content and should be flushed. –found the power steering and transmission fluids are starting to get dirty. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. –Found the horn is inoperative. –Found the rear wiper blade is worn. RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND MESSAGE
The technician removed all parts necessary to gain access to the steering roll connector. Removed and replaced the steering roll connector. Reassembled all necessary parts and the horn now works. Verified the repair on the test drive.
The technician verified the customers concern. Performed inspection and found the roll connector/ cable reel is broken and causing an open circuit. The roll connector will need to be replaced.
