  • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the Brake fluid contains 3% or higher moisture content. – Recommend a brake fluid flush service. –Found the engine oil pan is leaking. – Recommend engine oil pan gasket replacement. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. –Recommend air filter replacement. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – Recommend a tire rotation and two tires soon. – Recommend to monitor the left front axle(loosing grease)
  • Road tested and verified concern. Scan tested computer control system for stored trouble codes. P2173 High airflow/ vacuum leak detected (slow accumulation), C121c Torque requested signal denied, B210D Battery voltage low and TPMS codes. Scope tested ignition system patterns. No misfires detected. Searched for any related service bulletins. Performed nitrogen smoke testing on the intake system to check for vacuum leaks. Found the clamp loose going to the throttle body. Removed the hose to the Throttle body and inspected. Found the throttle body and throttle plate very coked up. Tested for the high and low throttle position sensor values. The values check good. Recommend cleaning the throttle body and retesting the TPS values. The technician cleaned the Throttle body and throttle plate. Reassembled all necessary parts and made sure the throttle body inlet clamp was tight. Retested the TPS high and low signals, both signals check good. Installed a new engine air filter. Verified the repair on the test drive.

  • Road tested vehicle. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front – 3mm, rotor is too thin to resurface Right front – 3mm, rotor is too thin to resurface Left rear – 4mm, rotor is too thin to resurface Right rear – 3mm, rotor is too thin to resurface – recommend replacing the front brake pads and rotors – recommend replacing the rear brake pads and rotors Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. – found the brake fluid to have excessive moisture – recommend a brake system flush

  • Replaced front brake pads and front brake rotors. Road tested.
  • Replaced rear brake pads and rear brake rotors. Road tested.
  • Inspected all hydraulic components for leaks – none. Drew brake fluid from master cylinder. Flushed and bled entire brake hydraulic system until clean. Filled and bled brakes as needed. Road tested.
  • Disassembled components as necessary. Removed the cabin air filter, cleaned housing and installed a new filter.

Inspected air filter. – noted the cabin air filter has smoke residue – recommend replacing the cabin filter Inspected battery cables and hold down. Inspected tires for wear and proper inflation. – noted the right front lower ball joint has excessive movement – recommend replacing both lower ball joints and align Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades.

  • Drained cooling system. Replaced water pump, water pump gasket and drive belt. Refilled and cycled cooling system. Retested for leaks – none at this time. Road tested and verified the repairs.
  • Inspected cooling system level and topped off with water as needed for testing purposes. Tested radiator cap for proper operation. Pressure tested cooling system and inspected for leaks. –Found the water pump is leaking and has saturated the drive/ serpentine belt. Recommend replacing the water pump and drive belt.
  • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. –Found the serpentine belt is coolant soaked from the leaking/ failed water pump. Tested antifreeze protection -Found the coolant is contaminated and should be flushed after the water pump is replaced. Inspected tire pressures and depth.
  • Power flushed and cleaned cooling system. Restored PH level and coolant protection. Protection good to -35.
  • Road tested vehicle. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front -5mm Right front -5mm Left rear -5mm Right rear -3mm Found the right rear caliper is dragging. Recommend replacing the rear brake pads, rear calipers and resurfacing the rear rotors. Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid.
