- Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the Brake fluid contains 3% or higher moisture content. – Recommend a brake fluid flush service. –Found the engine oil pan is leaking. – Recommend engine oil pan gasket replacement. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. –Recommend air filter replacement. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – Recommend a tire rotation and two tires soon. – Recommend to monitor the left front axle(loosing grease)
- Road tested and verified concern. Scan tested computer control system for stored trouble codes. P2173 High airflow/ vacuum leak detected (slow accumulation), C121c Torque requested signal denied, B210D Battery voltage low and TPMS codes. Scope tested ignition system patterns. No misfires detected. Searched for any related service bulletins. Performed nitrogen smoke testing on the intake system to check for vacuum leaks. Found the clamp loose going to the throttle body. Removed the hose to the Throttle body and inspected. Found the throttle body and throttle plate very coked up. Tested for the high and low throttle position sensor values. The values check good. Recommend cleaning the throttle body and retesting the TPS values. The technician cleaned the Throttle body and throttle plate. Reassembled all necessary parts and made sure the throttle body inlet clamp was tight. Retested the TPS high and low signals, both signals check good. Installed a new engine air filter. Verified the repair on the test drive.
