Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth.
The technician reprogrammed the antilock brake system control module per the specified technical service bulletin.
The technician was unable to get the warning light to come on on the test drive. scanned for codes and found two history codes, C1282 lateral accelerometer signal fault and C1963 stability control inhibit warning. Performed system and function testing and the works as designed at this time. Found technical bulletin 12-11-18 for antilock brake system control module reprogramming for this issue. Recommend reprogramming the ABS module per the specified bulletin.

Removed all necessary components and installed a new set of spark plugs as needed. Reinstalled all components and road tested.
Removed rear differential cover and drained differential. Cleaned and flushed differential. Resealed and reinstalled rear differential cover. Filled differential to specification.

Road tested but we could not duplicate the concern. Scan tested for stored trouble codes – found no codes stored at this time. Inspected the transmission fluid level and condition – found both to be good. Researched for any technical service bulletins – found bulletin #16-0125 relating to this concern. Recommend taking to a Ford dealership for further inspection and update.
Road tested vehicle. Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and condition. – brake fluid is recommended every 3 years or 3,000 miles Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery – passed. Performed starter draw test – within specifications. Tested charging system output – passed. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. Performed complete brake system inspection. Inspected compressor drive belt, hoses and connections. Tested the A/C line pressures and found the pressures way to high (400 psi high side and 48 psi low side). Static the pressures were at 200 psi high side and 210 psi low side. Evacuated and vacuum tested system. Found the refrigerant charge was at 1.7 lbs and should be at 1.9 lbs. Recharged the system and verified proper operation. The line pressures are now to specification and the fans are working accordingly. Also found where the A/C compressor had vented (possibly from previous overcharging). Will monitor compressor for signs of venting on the next service.

Recommend a transmission service and flush be performed. Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery -good . Performed starter draw test – within specifications. Tested charging system output – 14.13v. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. –Found the spark plugs are at .053 and the specification is .049. Recommend spark plug replacement and fuel induction services. Performed complete brake system inspection.
