    • The technician bench tested the door lock actuator and found it is in working order. Tested for signal from the switch and signal is good. There is a short in the door wire harness. Replaced the door wire harness and verified the repair.

    • Road tested vehicle. Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the transmission fluid is dirty. – Recommend transmission service. Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery – good. –Found corrosion building up on the battery. Performed starter draw test -11.25v- within specifications. Tested charging system output – 14.82v- within specifications. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. – Recommend wiper blade replacement. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. –Found the spark plugs are worn, 0.047" gap. Specification is 0.035". – Recommend spark plug replacement and fuel induction cleaning. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front -3mm Right front -3mm –Found the front brake rotors are warped with .004" runout. – Recommend replacing the front brake pads and resurfacing the rotors. Left rear -4mm Right rear -4mm Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. Inspected tire pressures and depth. Inspected steering and suspension components. Inspected exhaust system condition. – Recommend a rodent repellent be installed due to rodent debris.
    • RESET MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND MESSAGE
    • Replaced front brake pads and resurfaced front brake rotors. Road tested.
    • Removed all necessary components and installed a new set of spark plugs as needed. Reinstalled all components and road tested.
    • Drained and refilled transmission as needed. Rechecked for leaks – none.
    • Removed necessary components and performed upper air intake cleaning procedure. Reassembled and made any necessary adjustments as required. Road tested engine performance.
    • Cleaned and serviced battery terminals and cable ends as needed.
    • Installed new wiper blades as needed.

    • Disassembled components as necessary and replaced the outer tie rods as needed. Reassembled all components. Road tested.
    • Drained cooling system as needed. Removed all necessary components. Replaced the thermostat housing assembly. Reinstalled all components. Refilled and cycled cooling system. Cycled radiator fan. Tested and verified no further leak present. Road tested.
    • Inspected cooling system level and topped off with water as needed for testing purposes. Tested radiator cap for proper operation. Pressure tested cooling system and inspected for leaks. – found the thermostat housing to be broken and leaking – recommend replacing the thermostat housing assembly and retest system
    • Installed a new air filter as needed.
    • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. – found the rear differential fluid level low on arrival – recommend a rear differential service Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. – found the engine air filter dirty – recommend replacing the filter – found the radiator hoses to be original – recommend replacing the radiator hoses when doing the cooling system repair Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – noted the outer tie rods have excessive movement – recommend replacing the outer tie rods

    • Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -34 and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth. – found the front tires at the wear indicators with uneven treadwear – recommend replacing the 2 tires ASAP and perform alignment
    • Performed wheel alignment and made necessary adjustments. Road tested.
    • REPLACE LEFT FRONT WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY PER INSPECTION
    • Road tested twice but could not duplicate the concern. Did notice wheel bearing noise from the left front. Performed visual inspection of the undercarriage and front end components. Noted the lower engine cover missing and the fender wells are damaged. Found a branch stuck in the undercarriage by the axle – removed the branch as needed. Inspected and verified the left front wheel bearing is bad – recommend replacing the wheel bearing.

    • Road tested vehicle. Changed oil and filter. Lubricated chassis points (where applicable). Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the power steering fluid is dirty. – Recommend a power steering flush. –Found the transmission fluid is dirty. – Recommend a transmission flush. Inspected battery, cables, hold down and load tested battery – good. Performed starter draw test – within specifications. Tested charging system output – within specifications. Performed voltage drop test at battery cables and power lead. Inspected cooling system level and topped off as needed. Tested radiator cap for proper operation and pressure tested the system for leaks. –Tested antifreeze protection – good to -60°F but the Ph level is too low. – Recommend a cooling system flush be performed. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. – Recommend wiper blade replacement. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected fan belts and hoses. Inspected filters and ignition components. Performed complete brake system inspection. The following is amount of brake lining remaining: Left front -8mm Right front -8mm Left rear -6mm Right rear -6mm –Found the parking does not hold. – Recommend parking brake adjustment. Inspected brake hydraulic system for leaks, wear and condition of fluid. –During the complete vehicle fluid analysis. We tested the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. We found that the fluid there contains 4% or higher moisture content. – Recommend a brake fluid flush service. Inspected tire pressures and depth. Inspected steering and suspension components. –Found the rear shock protective shields are deteriorating. – Recommend rear shock replacement. –Found the rear sway bar links are worn and rattling. – Recommend rear sway bar link replacement. Inspected exhaust system condition.

    • Removed rear differential cover and drained differential. Cleaned and flushed differential. Resealed and reinstalled rear differential cover. Filled differential to specification.

    • The technician opened and closed the drivers and passengers doors several times deploying the automatic running boards. The running boards are operating as designed at this time. We will need to see the vehicle when this issue is occurring to properly diagnose.
