Drained transmission and torque converter and removed transmission pan. Flushed torque converter, transmission and cooler lines. Replaced transmission filter and pan gasket. Reinstalled transmission pan. Refilled transmission. Road tested. Re-inspected for leaks – none at this time.
Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. –Found the transmission oil pan is leaking. –Recommend servicing the transmission. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. Tested antifreeze protection – good to -35°F and Ph level good at this time. Inspected tire pressures and depth.
Removed all parts necessary to gain access to the accessory drive belts. Properly adjusted the serpentine fan belts as needed. Reassembled all necessary parts. Road tested and verified the belts are properly tensioned.
The technician verified the customers concern. Performed inspection and found the drive belts are not properly tensioned. Recommend adjusting the drive belts to the proper tension. Inspected for oil leaks. Found trace oil amounts around the right front corner of the engine. Cleaned the area, checked the valve cover fasteners and let the vehicle run. No signs of engine oil leaks have returned. Recommend to monitor and recheck on the next oil change visit.

2013 Toyota Prius

Drained engine oil and cooling system. Disassembled as needed for removal of cylinder head. Removed head and sent out to be inspected. Cleaned and prepared gasket surfaces. Reinstalled cylinder head, all necessary gaskets, seals, spark plugs, PCV valve, thermostat and reassembled all components. Refilled engine oil and replaced oil filter. Refilled and cycled cooling system. Scope checked and made all necessary adjustments. Found a camshaft correlation code. Performed inspection and found the vvt valve is not functioning correctly and the vvt sprocket is not fully functioning and keeps locking. Found a restriction of the oil supply to the vvt solenoid. Cleared the restriction and installed a new vvt solenoid. Removed the vvt sprocket, disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled the sprocket. Reassembled all necessary parts and verified the repairs. Cleared the correlation code, road tested and verified the repairs.
Removed all necessary components and inspected spark plugs as needed. Found the #1 cylinder spark plug very clean and the #2 spark plug looked normal. Swapped the spark plugs, no change. Swapped the ignition coils, no change. Performed a hydrocarbon detection test, the fluid changed color slightly. Bore scoped the #1 cylinder and found signs of engine coolant in the cylinder. Recommend removing the cylinder head for inspection.
Road tested and verified concern. Scan tested computer control system for stored trouble codes. Found code P0301 cylinder #1 misfire and P0302 cylinder #2 misfire. Scope tested ignition system patterns. The cylinder #1 misfire is pretty constant and #2 is intermittent.

Disassembled components as necessary. Removed the cabin air filter, cleaned housing and installed a new filter.
Inspected and adjusted the wiper blades as best as possible. Inspected but we have found no way to turn off the beeping while in reverse.
Performed AAA inspection. Inspected all fluid levels and condition. Inspected operation of all external lights. Inspected battery, cables and hold down. Inspected wiper blades, washer fluid, horn and mirrors. Inspected belts and hoses and air filter. – found the cabin air filter very dirty and has rodent damage – recommend to clean out the air box and install new cabin filter – found the throttle body dirty and has oil in it – recommend to remove oil and clean the throttle body Tested antifreeze protection – low. – recommend a coolant flush to restore protection Inspected tire pressures and depth. – noted the tires starting to have a wobble, tires are @ 8 years old – recommend replacing the tires soon
Power flushed and cleaned cooling system. Restored PH level and coolant protection. Protection good to -35.
Removed air intake boot. Cleaned and serviced throttle body and reset minimum air rate. Reinstalled air intake boot. Road tested.
Removed failed sensor. Cleaned connection. Installed a new sensor as needed. Scope tested sensor and verified proper operation. Cleared code and reset the computer. Road tested and verified repair.
Scan tested system and found code #P0138 – oxygen sensor B1 S2 fault and #C21124 – tire sensor #4 not reading. Performed visual inspection – no visual concerns found. Recommend replacing the oxygen sensor and tire pressure sensor.
